What materials are used in your frames?

We're glad you asked!  We're very proud to bring you a quality product using only the best industry-standard materials and we're sure you'll love your custom frame when it arrives. You can read more about our materials here.

All of our frames are handcrafted in America and are made of 100% solid wood, with various premium finishes (foil, gesso, veneer, etc.)

For glazing, we use high-quality acrylic with UV protection instead of glass. Our acrylic is more expensive than glass, it is beautifully clear (regular glass can have a green tint), much less likely to shatter, and offers increased protection against UV rays.

If you choose a mat with your order, one standard 4-ply mat board is included in your flat price. All of our mats are made of archival, acid-free rag-fiber paper.

If you opt for our print-and-frame product, we print all of your photographs on large Epson printers on premium luster or matte paper (your preference!) using archival inks.

To protect your art over time, you frame is sealed with a custom, craft paper backing and fitted with sturdy wire or sawtooth hangers depending on the size (Instagram to Small size frames receive a sawtooth hanger, Mediums to Larges receive a wire, and Extra Larges receive a custom dual-nail hanging system to ensure the most secure installation on your wall). We're really proud of our product and hope you love it!
